HOW IT WORKS
The Hydrosana is a dual action conditioner. By passing a small electric
current through the water HydroSana eliminates the cohesion that exists between the mineral particles in the water,
lowering the surface tension of the water. Evidence of this mineral separation is clearly visible in the microscope
photographs below.
This current also changes the physical properties of the water by
transforming calcium carbonate into aragonite. Calcium carbonate is the main component of the scale that forms
in your pipes and on your shower head, faucets and valves.
Aragonite has the same chemical structure as calcium carbonate but
it doesn't build up like calcium carbonate does. It dissolves existing scale then it forms a coating of Aragonite
and stops. This coating protects your pipes from scale and corrosion.
The second action is turbulence. The hydrosana is designed to speed
up the water flow and drive it through a tortuous path to create turbulence. This process releases dissolved gasses
like chlorine, and sulfur. It also releases contaminants like gasoline and radon.
These gasses can be vented or they naturally flow into the air when
your tap is opened. For this reason, be sure to use the smallest Hydrosana that will provide adequate flow for
your location. Oversizing slows the water and reduces the ability to release gasses.
