PREVENTATIVE MAINTENANCE FOR INDUSTRIAL/COMMERCIAL
USE
Cooling towers
Due to the HydroSana System's success in the
agricultural market, a major manufacturer who wished to conduct trials on their cooling towers and piping which
had algae, scale and corrosion problems. The tests proved to be so successful, that they now have 42 units installed.
On the basis of these results, and other tests, HydroSana Systems have become an accepted, chemical free method
of water treatment.
It is to be noted that HydroSana Systems treat the cause rather than the complaint. When installed on a cooling
tower system, it virtually eliminates the bio film below the water line where bacteria grows and multiplies. Therefore
minimal regular maintenance work is required to keep the tower in a low level risk condition. Incidently, your
payback time is usually less than two years.
Ion exchange water softeners...Boilers
If you have a water softener on your boiler
feed water, big savings can be made by installing the HydroSana System "before" the softener. Not only
will the performance of the softener be improved, but your regeneration times will be extended which reduces salt
usage considerably.
This was brought to our attention by a dry cleaning firm who installed a our system some years ago.
They had a water hardness level of 400ppm and regularly regenerated their water softener every 5 days. This cycle
was extended to every 6 weeks and the hardness level reduced to almost zero. As a result, the boiler inspector
now recommends HydroSana Water Treatment Systems.

Corrosion under control

The zinc anoade blocks in this
condenser are unmarked after 15 months due to corrosion control by the HydroSana System. Previously these
parts were replaced every 12 months because of corrosion. |

Separate Circulating Pump System

No chemicals are used in this system. The pump circulates 400 gallons of cooling tower water through the HydroSana
System once every 12 minutes and a smaller HydroSana System is fitted to the make up supply. |
